Model Highlights
The M6 is BMW's flagship grand touring performance coupe. It is available as a 2-door coupe, a 4-door "Gran Coupe" or a 2-door convertible. A 4.4L twin-turbo V8 engine is shared with this year's M5. The flagship engine makes 560 horsepower and 500 foot-pounds of torque. It's paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. This combination produces staggering acceleration, with BMW claiming 0-60 times in the low 4 second range. Inside, the M6 gets BMW's latest technology standard, including a 10.2-inch high-definition screen serving as the central hub for both the stereo, navigation, and climate controls. BMW's iDrive system returns as well. A premium Bang & Olufsen sound system is optional, ventilated front seats, night vision and BMW Apps smartphone integration are all optional. Standard safety equipment includes traction control, dynamic brake control, dynamic stability control, and numerous air bags. Available safety features include blind-spot alert, a lane departure warning, a full-color heads-up display, and both rear and top view cameras.
